HOME
I zoomed up into space
And mingled with the stars.
I found in those vast reaches
Freedom and no bars.
I crawled into the deepest cave
Within earth’s crust.
I found in earth security.
Which is it I can trust
To be my cherished home
For ever and forever?
If I decide on one alone
It’s then that I must sever
The cord that ties me down to earth.
So I do so for only a spell
Until I am rested, freshly gowned,
And a new sun greets me well.
