Life is Now
How grateful I am,
how happy,
that out of so many creatures
I was picked to have a soul,
to be able to think and be part of the human race.
I did not ask to be born,
at least I can’t remember.
Maybe I shall be born again, maybe I shan’t.
This life is eternity for me.
My beginning
was in the beginning of the world and a part of it.
My end
will be in the end of the world
and a part of that, too.
Beginning and end, however, are one,
as past and future are one in the present.
Each moment
that goes by
makes past out of the future, and in that moment
past and future are one.
Life is not in the past nor in the future.
It is in the present.
So
life is the beginning and the end,
the past and the future.
LIFE IS NOW!
